SLJ W1 D1 Activity 2: Discovering Aotearoa
My culture’s are Maori, Italian and NZ Europeon I was born in New Zealand, I still live there. I don’t really do much for my culture but sometimes I do hangis when it is a family occasion. Also I make pizza sometimes, I don’t know if it is cultural or not.
Kia ora Autumn,
ReplyDeleteIt is awesome to see you have made a start on the week one activities. My name is Leisha and I am with the Summer Learning Journey. I live in Auckland and I am part of the team that will be commenting on your blog posts over the summer. I am really looking forward to getting to know you and reading your interesting blogs :)
Thank you for sharing about your culture. My culture also includes Māori and New Zealand European. It is nice to see you have included different ways that your family enjoy food from your different cultures. I always find it interesting to learn about how different cultures cook, share and enjoy food. In my family we love to share food together and will always bring a plate of food to a family event. There are some families and cultures that do not like to do the “bring a plate of food to share” option as they prefer to host and provide all the food for their guests which I also think is awesome. I love to host and cook for my family and friends too. I grew up in a small country town called Otorohanga which is in the King Country region in the centre of the North Island. Although I live in Auckland, I will always call Otorohanga home. Where do you call home? Is it where you live still live now?
I hope you are enjoying the week one activities so far. I can’t wait to see what you post about next.
Leisha
