First jazz solo

This is a piece of writing. It was a task from a book our class has been reading.Hope you like it.

Standing on the wing of the stage  getting ready to go on for my jazz solo.  It was my first time doing a solo. I  was worried I would mess up but I didn’t.  My family, my dance teacher and I thought I nailed it.

School Camp

Day one of camp

On Tuesday we drove to Bridge Valley. On the way there we had two flat tyres it was on Lase’s car   and  on Ben's  trailer there tyers looked as flat as a balloon.The drive was fun but annoying because it took so long . Finally we got there.I was looking  forward to rock climbing.

Day two

It was different because we did abseiling I didn't do it last

time. It was really dark as dark as a cave. The flying fox over the lake we \didn’t  do it last time  because we were too  little it was really fun .I went first in my activity group.

Day  three

I felt excited and proud of myself. Because I done the the iron man I jumped off the water slide like a penguin. I didn’t need eney help. When I was swimming in the lake.

Day four

My favourite experience was the flying fox. I will miss the activities.

And the delicious food it was as delicious as restaurant food.I can’t wait for next time we go to Bridge Valley.

This is  Room 1 we did some cooking we fryed zucchini.

Persuasive writing

We have been learning how to structure a piece of persuasive writing.  We learnt about stating our position in the introduction, putting our three reasons in the main part of our writing and then summing it up in the conclusion.

Here is my first attempt at a piece of persuasive writing:

Lunchtimes at kumara school see kids sitting around I think we should do science.

Firstly science is good for learning.

Secondly science will keep students entertained .

Lastly science is fun.

Please consider my request Kumara School would really appreciate if you will let us do science at rainy lunchtimes because it will entertain and we will learn and it is fun.

BAD DAY AT THE WATER SLIDE

Whoosh!  That is all I hear when I go down. I scream in fear  although I have been down before.  All of a sudden I look back and see my dad. Am I halfway there now? It gets faster and faster.  

‘Dad’ I shout ‘is it going fast?’

but dad said ‘it isn't’

‘argh’.

All of a sudden I drop in the pool. I got water up my nose. How would you feel?
